Bénédiction de l’orgue restauré de Fourvière

After several months of work, the restoration of the organ of the Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica is completed.

We invite you on Sunday October 4 at 6:30 p.m, for the blessing of the restored organ celebrated by Father Matthieu Thouvenot, Rector of the basilica.

The blessing will be followed by a small concert d’Yves Lafargue, titular organist of the Notre-Dame de Fourvière basilica.

The opportunity to rediscover all the richness of the sound palette of the most played organ in Lyon.

The work was carried out by Michel Jurine, organ builder, and made it possible to modernize and renovate the instrument.

“I was there in 1995-1996 for the restoration of the century and I am still present today

to direct this lifting and the bringing into harmony of the pipes. My attachment to this organ, all of whose sounds I have shaped, is a bit of a filiation. ⁇
