Become pilgrims of hope in 2025

For the Holy Year 2025 , Notre-Dame de Fourvière invites you to experience a unique spiritual journey through its Jubilee itinerary. Designed for young and old alike, this journey will allow you to discover iconic sites within the sanctuary while deepening your faith.

A route for everyone

  • Guided tour : Meet every Saturday at 3:00 PM on the square in front of the statue of Saint John Paul II for spiritual guidance.
  • Self-guided route : You can also undertake this pilgrimage alone or with your family, depending on your availability and pace.
  • Guided tours are available upon request for groups : accueil.basilique@fourviere.org

To guide you, a route booklet is available in the basilica and at the welcome pavilion.

The 5 stages of the Notre-Dame de Fourvière jubilee journey

  • Entering into Hope : On the forecourt, in front of the statue of Saint John Paul II.
  • Saint Joseph, model of Hope : In the crypt , in front of the statue of Saint Joseph.
  • Entrusting our deceased to Hope : At the Chapel of Compassion.
  • Mary, Mother of Hope : At the Chapel of the Virgin .
  • The Sacraments, gateways to Hope : In the choir of the basilica.

Each step is an invitation to meditation, prayer, and introspection.
